Safety

Fireworks aren't for the faint-hearted—but safety always comes first.
We want your celebration to be big, bright, and most of all—safe!
Follow these simple guidelines to make sure your backyard show goes off without a hitch:
Before You Light:
✨ Read the instructions: Always read and follow the directions carefully before lighting any firework.
🧑🔧 Adult supervision only: Fireworks are fun, but they're not toys. A responsible adult should always be in charge.
🌳 Pick the right spot: Use fireworks outdoors in a clear, open area—far away from buildings, dry grass, cars, or anything flammable.
🛞 Flat, hard surface: Always light fireworks on a hard, flat, and level surface for stability.
🚫 Avoid asphalt and gravel: Ideally use concrete or a similar stable surface to prevent tipping!
🌬️ Watch the wind: If it’s too windy, postpone your show! Strong winds can carry fireworks off course and create serious hazards.
💦 Have water ready: Keep a hose, bucket of water, or fire extinguisher close by—just in case.
When You’re Lighting:
🕶️ Wear eye protection: Consider wearing safety glasses when handling and lighting fireworks.
🔥 Light one at a time: Ignite only one firework at a time, and move back quickly.
📏 Keep a safe distance: Stay at least 35 feet away from fountains and ground effects—and 150 feet away for anything aerial.
🚫 Don’t relight duds: If a firework doesn't ignite, wait 20 minutes, then soak it in water—never try to relight it.
🗑️ Soak it before trashing: After use, soak all spent fireworks in water before throwing them away.
🍻 Stay sober: Never use fireworks under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Special Tips for Reloadable Shells:
👥 Keep the audience at least 150 feet back.
📦 Only use shells and tubes that came packaged together.
⬇️ Insert shells flat-end down, arrow pointing up—never force them into the tube.
🚀 Light the shell inside the tube—never outside of it.
🏃♂️ After lighting, move at least 20 feet away from the launch tube.
💧 If a shell doesn’t fire, do not reload or relight. Soak it!
🧱 Always brace the launch tube securely on a hard, level surface.
Be Kind to Pets 🐶
🎶 Play music or TV to help mask fireworks noise.
🏡 Keep pets safely indoors and check on them often.
Be a Good Neighbor 🏡
📣 Give your neighbors a heads-up before you start.
🎖️ Be mindful of veterans, young children, and animals.
🧹 Always clean up debris—especially if it lands on someone else’s property.
Buying & Storing Fireworks:
🛒 Buy smart: Only purchase fireworks from licensed, reputable dealers.
🚫 No homemade fireworks: They're illegal and extremely dangerous.
📦 Store safely: Keep fireworks in a cool, dry spot, away from flammables—and out of reach of kids.
📦 Keep them in the box: Storing fireworks in their original packaging protects them from damage.
Important Reminder:
🎆 Fireworks are a blast—but only when used safely.
Always follow local laws, take your time, and enjoy the show responsibly!
